1. Save your Work Frequently

When you are doing your work with document files, spreadsheets, coding etc. it is best to save your work frequently. You don’t know when will incidents occur. Incidents like power outages, computer hang ups, and the like. Save your work to your hard drive and have a back up in your USB flash disk or burn some cd/dvd.

Use Antivirus to Prevent Computer Virus Attacks
Viruses and spywares can remove, modify and destroy your files. Right after setting up your operating system on your computer, next should be to install an antivirus and/or antispyware. Always  update your antivirus so that it could be very effective in stopping viruses. Always keep scanning your computer to detect if any virus have infiltrated your personal computer or laptop.

If you have the money, it is very good investment to buy a UPS for your computer to avoid unwanted shutdown of your pc. You can also have the time to save your work if ever you’ll experience power outages.

Modifying the Registry

Don’t touch your computer registry if you don’t know what you are doing. You will only put harm to your computer by doing so.
